Since the book is about the history of art, there are many very unusual things. Therefore, there is a lot of circulation and publication. First of all, the book is written in a simple, understandable language for the people. He was distinguished by the clarity of excellent terms of art, conveying them to the people, and the training of his language. And not like the books of previous art critics, it is a book dedicated to young people and aimed to make the mystery of art clear to young people. The author did it. Therefore, due to the great importance of the book, it was translated into Kazakh. Under the program "humanitarian education - 100 textbooks", it is considered a labor that is taken into account at the state level. Therefore, the meaning of the book is special. The history of Belle's art was previously known to us only through Russian, Russian-language printed books, from the point of view of Russian art critics and through those in which the socialist realism of the Soviet political era was mainly told. The works of the artists who were mentioned were those that were restricted to the west, to America, as well as to the capitalist worlds.
According to the professor, the work will help Kazakh art historians.
The book is very special for us-Kazakh readers, Kazakh art historians. Taking into account all this, the main goal is to convey to the Kazakh – speaking reader everything that is free reasoning, focusing on the basics of free art, etc. There was art criticism in the Kazakh language, books were written. One of their most authoritative authors is Bulat Kesikbaevich Baizhigitov. In the same way, the Kazakh language of many authors speaks about the Kazakh art, our worldview and Applied Art of the Kazakh nation. And now there is no great work that can be compared with world art. Therefore, I have no doubt that this book will compensate for this disadvantage.
During the period in which the author studied, there were few works written on Muslim art. And in Ernst Gombrich's" history of art", together with illustrations, it is written about the historical period of the work and the factor that led to it, Muslim, Oriental Art.
The book consists of 28 chapters. Close to 680 pages. An illustration of each spoken work is shown. In addition, the great thing in the book is that in addition to what state each work is from, it is also considered that the authors ' work was caused by the political and social situation of the state at that time. That is, it is the only textbook that should mention the factor that influenced the content of the work. "I don't know," he said, " but I don't know what you're talking about, and I don't know what you're talking about." In addition, the influence of religion on the development of Fine Art in general and Christianity in particular is mentioned in more detail. Arabic art is not mentioned in many places. For example, when we studied art history, there was almost no Muslim art, and there was little information about oriental art. And this book contains information about Muslim art. I think that this is also a reflection of the specifics and benefits of this book.
It took 3 months to translate the work. And it took 4-5 months to edit and complete. Gave limited time to translate the book. We finished in 3 months. But behind him there was, as it were, editing, correcting. Thus, in 4-5 months we were completely finished. In the book, the author himself says that "I continued to use the terms of art history a lot, since it is a work for young students, the book should be clear, reasoned, and the judgments should be clear." Therefore, we also explained the terms in Kazakh and tried to convey the essence as easily as possible. Comparing the version in Russian and English, the editors clarified where they did not understand, did not come. I hope that thanks to such work, the translation will not destroy its scientific value.
This book is intended for those who want to be aware of interesting, as well as previously unknown aspects of art. Starting to read the book, The Soul will get acquainted with the general plan of this area, systematize the periods, styles and names associated with voluminous and complex books, and have the knowledge necessary for reading special literature. In the process of writing the book, I thought primarily of teenagers and young readers who had just opened the doors to the art world. In my opinion, books for teenagers should be written in the same way as books for adults, but taking into account their special criticality, intolerance to falsehood and artificial jargon. I know from my own experience that such gaps sometimes cause people to hate literature on art for life. Therefore, in order not to fall into such a" trap", I tried to write the book in a simple, generally understandable language, to use non-professional sentences freely, without being squeezed. On the other hand, I also took into account the lack of a cloak in my mind. I think my readers will probably not blame me for the fact that the terms of complex and insidious art criticism are given absolutely little. We may not be mistaken if we say that a person who forgot the purpose of enlightenment, spoke more and more and wanted to appear before readers in scientific language, was arrogant.
I obeyed some requirements that not only limited special terminology, but also complicated the author's work, but also gave the reader relief. First of all, I wrote only about works that can be illustrated. I didn't want to offer a list of names to anyone who wasn't familiar with the work. Such texts do not give the reader anything, and for those who know the work, it would be superfluous information. Therefore, the requirement for the selection of material for the convenience of the number of illustrations in the selection of artists and their works included in the book has become stricter. On the basis of this order, the second rule was formed: I preferred not to introduce works written according to the tastes of time and fashion, but to limit myself only to works of indisputable artistic value. In this way, even the advantages of a beautiful literary style had to be abandoned. There is no doubt that critical remarks are always more effective than applause and praise, so I believe that a small irregularity in the book does not violate the order of the smooth narrative. If so, the reader has the right to ask what is the reason for the penetration of real masterpieces by stumps that have nothing to do with a book on art. However, although not all of the works presented here meet the highest artistic quality, each is valuable in its own way.
The third rule also required the rejection of some things. I gave up the desire to prioritize my own personal choice, in addition to the inclusion of generally recognized masterpieces of art. Because this book is written not as an anthology of beauty, but as a guide for those who are on their way to the unknown, and also serves as an example of "having a shoulder", as a sign that gives the reader an unknown direction. Since even the most famous works are considered great in many ways, if the book helps the reader to revise them, it would be much more useful than getting acquainted with not very popular works.
